Transportation

DESIGN
Urban Design

The multimodal transportation systems that support human activities have a profound impact on our communities. By enabling the safe, convenient movement of people and goods between homes, jobs, shopping, and recreation, these systems are essential to maintaining our quality of life and accommodating future growth and economic development. They are greatly affected by engineering constraints, environmental impacts, funding limitations, and public opinion—creating a challenging task for those who plan, engineer, and build our highways and byways.

The planning and engineering services provided by LSA’s transportation specialists grow from a deep understanding of the complex relationship among transportation, our communities, and our environment. LSA's transportation team is recognized for its creative, solution-oriented approach and its sensitivity to the communities LSA's work will affect.

LSA begins with a thorough assessment of the environment in which the transportation project will take shape. Then, through public involvement programs and effective graphic, video, and microsimulations, LSA invites the community and its decision makers to participate in our work process. By matching LSA's expertise in transportation technology with strong communication and listening skills, LSA ensures that the projects it undertakes enhance mobility and efficiency of movement in balance with the environment.
