Turlock Public Safety Building Global Climate Change Analysis
Client: WLC Architects
Location:Turlock, California

Turlock Public Safety Building

The proposed public safety building is comprised of 58,570 square feet of police and fire administrative offices and operations and 5,680 square feet of retail. The Global Climate Change (GCC) report provided background information on climate change and meteorology, discussed the regulatory framework for GCC, provided data on the existing global climate setting, and evaluated potential global greenhouse gas emissions associated with the proposed project. The greenhouse gas estimates included all sources recommended by State guidance, including vehicles, electricity, natural gas, water use, and solid waste generation. The report evaluated the cumulative impact of the project on climate change by analyzing whether the project conflicted with or obstructed the implementation of greenhouse gas reduction measures under AB 32 or other State regulations.
