The Springs Amended Redevelopment Plan
Client: Sonoma County Community Development Commission
Location: Sonoma County, California
The Springs Redevelopment Project Area consists of
approximately 323 acres of unincorporated County
territory along a two-mile corridor of Highway 12,
immediately north of the City of Sonoma and extending
to Agua Caliente Road. The area includes primarily
residential and commercial uses. The proposed project,
amending the Redevelopment Plan, would serve
as a catalyst for development and redevelopment in
agreement with land uses and policies of the Sonoma
County General Plan, and enabled by the legal and
financial tools of redevelopment law. LSA was selected
by the County to prepare a Program Environmental Impact Report to inform
decision-makers, other responsible agencies, and the
general public of the proposed project and the potential
environmental consequences of project approval. A full
range of environmental topics was examined, along
with several alternatives.
