Oakland Measure DD Project Environmental Impact Report
Client: City of Oakland
Location: Oakland, California

LSA prepared an Environmental Impact Report evaluating the environmental impacts of implementing the City of Oakland’s Measure DD. Measure DD was passed by the voters and authorizes the City to issue bonds that fund new or improved recreational opportunities for Oakland’s citizens and water quality improvements at Lake Merritt and creeks located throughout the City. The Environmental Impact Report analyzed in detail specific projects including the following:

Demolition of an outdated roadway and its replacement with a tree-lined boulevard and four-acre park at Lake Merritt;
Completion of the Waterfront Trail on the Oakland Estuary;
Redesign of the Lake Merritt Channel to improve recreational access and water flow;
Renovation of the Studio/Arts Center, Municipal Boathouse and Pergola; and
Preservation and restoration of urban creeks.
