The Home Place Master Development Plan in the Gettysburg/Ashlan Master Plan Community area in the southeast part of the City is planned to contain housing, retail, and parks. LSA conducted an acoustical analysis to examine the potential noise impacts and evaluate any noise reduction measures that would be necessary to incorporate as part of the project design. LSA conducted short-term ambient noise monitoring at two separate locations on the project site near adjacent busy roadways. Future traffic noise levels along these roadway segments were estimated by using the FHWA High Traffic Noise Prediction Model (FHWA RD-77-108). Noise reduction and insulation features were recommended.
