LSA is leading an environmental team to prepare an EIR/EIS for the I-710 Corridor project. The project proposes to improve I-710 in Los Angeles County from Ocean Boulevard in the City of Long Beach to SR-60, a distance of approximately 18 miles. The proposed project includes five alternatives.
Primary issues of concern include air quality/public health, community impacts, environmental justice, and traffic safety. In addition to preparing the EIR/EIS, LSA is responsible for preparing technical studies, including the Historic Property Survey Report, Paleontological Identification/Evaluation Report, Community Impact Assessment, and the Natural Environment Study. Over 1,000 buildings were considered for historical evaluation. Of those, 179 were evaluated. Dale's Donuts was determined eligible for the National Register of Historic Places.
