LSA, in its role as the contract Planning Department for the Town of Colma, reviewed an application to demolish an existing auto dealership and build a new facility that would allow all inventory to be stored on the property. The 233,062 square foot facility included a four-story parking structure and new, expanded showroom and service areas, while improving the overall aesthetics of the property by incorporating Spanish-Mediterranean design elements into the building’s architecture and increasing the amount of site landscaping. LSA also administered the sale of a small, Town-owned parcel adjacent to the site in order to increase the size of the dealership’s property then reviewed and provided a recommendation on the proposed development to the City Council. Entitlements included a General Plan Amendment, Rezoning, and Design Review Permit; LSA also conducted the environmental review under CEQA.
