LSA is preparing the environmental technical reports and CEQA/NEPA documentation for the Moss Landing Segment of the Monterey Bay Sanctuary Scenic Trail. The Monterey Bay Sanctuary Scenic Trail is a collaborative effort between public agencies, nonprofit organizations, and the public to construct a trail that would allow people to bicycle around Monterey Bay from Lovers Point in Pacific Grove to Wilder Ranch in Santa Cruz. The Moss Landing segment of the proposed bicycle/pedestrian trail is approximately 4,200 feet (0.80 mile) long and is located between Moss Landing Road and a completed section of the trail just north of Elkhorn Slough at North Harbor, Moss Landing, Monterey County, California. Key environmental issues along this segment of the Monterey Bay Sanctuary Scenic Trail include cultural resources, such as archaeological and Native American sites and resources; and biological resources, including habitats for sensitive species in and around Elkhorn Slough.
