With slightly more than 70,000 citizens, the City of Mountain View is located in the heart of Silicon Valley, between the Santa Cruz Mountains and San Francisco Bay. In 2008, the City embarked on its 2030 General Plan Update, a process that will help guide future growth. In tandem with the General Plan Update, the City Council approved goals for reducing greenhouse gas emissions within the City. To implement the goals, the City asked for development of a Greenhouse Gas Reduction Program (GGRP). LSA is assisting the City with the preparation of the General Plan Update, a Housing Element Initial Study/Negative Declaration, and a comprehensive EIR on the General Plan and GGRP.
